勛圖夥厙 Foundation honors Creason with Carlos Hartnett Award

The 勛圖夥厙 Foundation has recognized Warren Creason for years of advocacy and support with the prestigious Carlos Hartnett Award.
Named after the colleges first development officer, the award recognizes those who encourage others, by word and by example, to give from their abundance for the benefit of 勛圖夥厙.
Creason, a member of the foundation board, has raised thousands of dollars in scholarship funds for 勛圖夥厙 students. He has spearheaded the establishment of several new endowment funds that benefit veterans, students in financial need and other worthy causes related to the college.
This honor is well deserved, said Brent Gough, 勛圖夥厙 Foundation president. Warren has served on our foundation board for many years and we would not have had the success in helping our students without his caring, his vision, and his love of Weatherford College. I am honored to have him serve alongside me, and he is certainly the right choice for this award.
Creason came to 勛圖夥厙 on a basketball scholarship after growing up in the New Mexico foster system. He graduated from 勛圖夥厙 in 1976, continued his college basketball career at Texas A&M University-Kingsville, and built a successful commercial real estate business from scratch. He was the 勛圖夥厙 Alumnus of the Year Award honoree in 2017.
Warren Creason bleeds black and gold, said 勛圖夥厙 President Tod Allen Farmer. He has a special kind of love for all things 勛圖夥厙. I am so very pleased that he was named the recipient of the Carlos Hartnett Award.
The foundation has given the Hartnett Award only 16 times in its history. Previous awardees are Jack Borden, Dr. Jim Boyd, Jean Bryan, Marjorie Kimbrough Dome, Dorothy Doss, Jerry Durant, Roy Eaton, Bob Glenn, Roy Joe Grogan, I.B. Hand, Eddie Kidd, Mark Littleton, Joe Tison, Dr. Mike White and Bruce and Laura Wiggs.
