³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø is proud to host the 8th ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø International Piano Competition. The preliminary round will take place online through submitted video recordings. From these entries, semifinalists will be selected to perform live 25-minute solo recitals at the ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø Marjorie Alkek Performing Arts Center in Weatherford, Texas, on April 10, 2026. Four finalists will advance to perform piano quartets with the ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø Chamber Music Ensemble on April 11, 2026.
Prizes include trophies, certificates, and cash awards. The first-prize winner will also receive a concert engagement at ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø during the 2026–2027 academic year. Applications and performance videos must be submitted by February 14, 2026.

³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø International Piano Competition welcomes all pianists of all ages.
General Requirements (applies to Preliminary and Semifinal Rounds)
- Contestants may choose their repertoire.
- At least two contrasting works for solo piano from different eras (Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Twentieth Century) are encouraged.
- Single movements from multi-movement works or sonatas are permitted.
- Repeats may be included or omitted at the performer’s discretion.
Preliminary Round (Video/Piano Solo):
- Submit a video or videos of a solo piano performance (no minimum length, not exceeding 25 minutes).
- The video must be submitted as an unlisted YouTube link, with:
- Title: 2026 ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍøIPC, Performer's Name
- Description: Composer's name and title of each piece performed
- Either a single link or multiple links are acceptable.
Semifinal Round (Live/Piano Solo):
- Selected semifinalists will perform live (performance must not exceed 25 minutes).
- Repertoire from the preliminary round may be repeated.
- All performances are open to the public.
Final Round (Live/Chamber Music):
- Four finalists will perform piano quartets live with the ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø Chamber Music Ensemble.
- Finalists will select from the following piano quartets:

- All application materials (application form, recordings, and fee) must be received by February 14, 2026, by 11:59 PM (CDT).
- All participants must complete and submit the application online with payment through SimpleTix by February 14, 2026.
- Semifinalists will be notified by February 28, 2026, and must confirm attendance by March 2, 2026.
- All semifinalists must attend the Performance Drawing on April 9, 2026, at 6:00 PM.
- Semifinalists who do not advance to the final round will receive a stipend of $700.
- Non-finalist semifinalists are invited to participate in a Q&A session with the Judges on April 11, 2026.
- Finalists will have a 30-minute rehearsal with the ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø Chamber Music Ensemble on the morning of April 11, 2026.
- Current and former students of jury members are eligible to compete; however, judges will recuse themselves from voting on their own students.
- Contestants are responsible for their own expenses.
- Contestants must be present at the Awards Ceremony to receive prizes or recognition.
- The jury’s decisions are final.
- A live Preliminary Round for the 8th ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍøIPC will be also held in Korea in October 2025. One qualified pianist from this round may be selected to advance to the Semifinal Round.
- The competition reserves the right to record, broadcast, stream, or otherwise distribute all performances for media and educational purposes.
- By applying, contestants agree to abide by all rules and regulations of the competition.
- All communication, including scheduling, will be conducted via email.
- The competition reserves the right to make adjustments as circumstances require.
