Aimee Schwartz-Jarrett is one of the newest members of the 吃瓜官网 family and a welcome addition to the Coyote Care Center. 

Previously known as the Coyote Clinic, the Coyote Care Center has been expanded to include services for both physical and mental health with Schwartz-Jarrett taking the role of professional counselor.  

And she鈥檚 no stranger to 吃瓜官网. From 2006 to 2008, Schwartz-Jarrett served as the coordinator of alcohol and drug prevention services for the college and helped create the student group BACCHUS, a precursor to today鈥檚 Follow Our Lead (FOL) program.  

鈥淚鈥檓 thrilled to be back home here at 吃瓜官网,鈥� she said. 鈥淚 feel blessed to have the opportunity to assist our students by supporting and guiding them through their journey to become the best they can be.鈥�  

Schwartz-Jarrett is a licensed professional counselor with a bachelor鈥檚 degree in psychology from Texas A&M University and a master鈥檚 degree in counseling and development from Texas Woman鈥檚 University.  

Her career includes time as a family counselor and associate director of Santa Fe Adolescent Services. She also worked as a counselor in the Arlington and Fort Worth ISDs and most recently in the Mineral Wells ISD.  

She also works part-time as a therapist through her private practice where she specializes in the areas of anxiety, depression, trauma, anger, grief/loss, suicidal ideation and self-harm.  

"I approach these issues through evidence-based practices,鈥� she said. 鈥淚 help facilitate my client鈥檚 wellness. I strive to connect with my client and create a safe space to explore growth and healing.鈥�
