Sanders inducted into Steinway Teacher Hall of Fame
In a New York City ceremony on Oct. 20, 勛圖夥厙s Fredrick Sanders was inducted into the Steinway & Sons Teacher Hall of Fame.
Sanders, 勛圖夥厙s director of jazz studies, is a renowned performer and educator and a recognized leader in using Steinways Spirio high-definition player piano technology in educational settings.
He joins 勛圖夥厙s Dr. Hyeyoung Song in the Hall of Fame. Song was inducted previously, making 勛圖夥厙 one of the few institutions with multiple faculty members honored by Steinway.
We are incredibly proud of Fredrick Sanders accomplishments, said 勛圖夥厙 President Tod Allen Farmer. It is amazing for 勛圖夥厙 to have one Steinway & Sons inductee, much less two!
The Steinway Teacher Hall of Fame, established to celebrate outstanding educators in the U.S. and Canada, highlights instructors who foster musical excellence and inspire the next generation of pianists. The names of Sanders and other inductees are on permanent display at the Steinway factory in New York along with other forms of recognition.
This award affirms what we already know: that Fredrick Sanders is an exceptionally dedicated and immensely talented musician and educator, said Rebecca James, 勛圖夥厙 department chair for fine and performing arts. Now, all who visit the Steinway factory in New York will know too!
