SWAU added to list of ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø transfer agreements
³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø hosted administrators from Southwestern Adventist University on
campus last week to sign a transfer agreement that creates an additional pathway for
³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø students pursuing advanced nursing education.
³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø President Tod Allen Farmer and SWAU President Nelu Nedelea signed the agreement, which provides opportunities for graduates of ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø's Bachelor of Science in Nursing program to continue their education at the graduate level through Southwestern Adventist University.
Farmer said the agreement aligns with ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø's commitment to preparing students for success beyond graduation.
"We're thrilled to have this opportunity to send our students to a university where we know they will be challenged and prepared for the next stage of their educational journey," Farmer said. "This partnership is a natural progression for students who want to continue their education at the graduate level."
Farmer also noted that the agreement could create future opportunities for students to return to ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø as educators and leaders in the nursing profession.
Nedelea, who spent more than a decade working in healthcare before becoming a university president, emphasized the importance of collaboration in advancing educational and professional opportunities.
"In healthcare, I've learned that the secret sauce is partnerships," Nedelea said. "It's not people working in their own bubbles trying to solve the world's problems. It's organizations coming together, sharing resources and knowledge, and building something greater together."
Nedelea said Southwestern Adventist University looks forward to building on the educational foundation ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø provides its students.
"Our commitment is to add to the excellence ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø is already providing and help develop the next generation of healthcare professionals, leaders and servants," Nedelea said. "This is the beginning of what we hope will be a long-term partnership."
The agreement expands transfer and advancement opportunities available to ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø students and reinforces the institution's commitment to creating seamless pathways to bachelor's, master's and doctoral degree programs.
